The event drew 1,000 plungers and raised almost $500,000. Definitely going to be an annual event, and next year I hope to have the kids participate too!
The plunge is at Goose Lake in Anchorage. I small square is cut out of the ice and rescue fireman in survival suits wait in the water. Right after jumping we went back to the "warming tent" and hopped in a hot tub (verrrry nice!).
