Prince William Sound 2012

Had another amazing fishing trip to Prince William Sound this summer. Awesome weather - although the first day we had some very strange fog roll in. Spent the night on the boat, and came home with our limit of Halibut. Also caught some huge Yellow-eye Rockfish. Saw several whales, porpoisses, bald eagles and sea lions.

Had the opportunity to take the kids to the Alaska Raceway over the 4th of July weekend. Sunday we met up with Calli's friend Ginny at the races. We were there to cheer on her boyfriend, Mark, and his dragster- "The Rat Bastard." There were also two Jet Cars there from Canada. The weather didn't cooperate and most of the races were washed out due to water on the track. Jet car was awesome as it blew its flame, and shook the grandstands on take-off - unfortunately it only made it a third of the way down the track before "flaming -out."

Still had a really great time, and it was fun to get out and have some new experiences! We will definitely have to go back (especially since we have rain out passes :)

Celina Softball

Celina's been playing softball this year for Wasilla High School. Its been exciting (and cold) to go out an watch her play. She is playing on JV and Varsity so most nights she has 2 games. She's been doing awesome, and we couldn't be more proud. Really hoping it something she keeps working hard at.
